Zeus Progress 7'6 – Your first real surfboard
The Zeus Progress 7'6 is exactly what you expect from a first board: easy, solid and ultra-versatile. Designed for adults who want to progress quickly and safely, it helps you nail your take-offs, correct your technique and catch more waves from your first sessions.
With its IXPE foam deck, soft fins, carry handle, generous volume (63 L) and wide nose/tail that forgive mistakes, it's the ideal board to learn stress-free. No surprise: it's one of our best-selling boards for novice surfers.
A reliable and durable 100% Soft construction
The Progress 7'6 uses a latest-generation 100% Soft construction, designed to handle beginner sessions without flinching:
- Robust EPS core for excellent long-term resistance
- Durable laminated foam on the deck to absorb impacts
- Stable materials that don't overheat in the sun
No cheap finishes, no "toy" look: this isn't a supermarket board, but a real foam surfboard, built to last.
This construction guarantees optimal safety, proven durability in surf schools and impact resistance far above average.
A shape designed to facilitate your progression
Every detail of the Progress 7'6 shape has been optimized to make learning easier:
- Generous outline for reassuring stability on take-off
- Moderate rocker that facilitates wave catching and limits nosediving
- Well-distributed volume (63 L) for optimal buoyancy and more comfortable paddling
Result: you get up more often, stay better balanced and can focus on your stance and trajectory rather than struggling to stay standing.
Performance & safety for beginners
The Soft construction includes soft fins to minimize the risk of injury in case of a fall, while maintaining good maneuverability to develop technically over sessions.
The Progress 7'6 is designed to withstand intensive use in surf schools, making it a particularly reassuring choice for a first purchase.
For what size?
With its 63 L of volume, the Zeus Progress 7'6 offers excellent buoyancy for adults up to approximately 75 kg.

Do you have a question?

Why Zeus?
It's not soft, it's a Zeus!
"Foam board", "softboard", "soft top" are all the same thing. The term comes from the EPS (expanded polystyrene) core covered with a soft coating.
But beware: a Zeus has nothing to do with a beach toy. Reinforced construction, wood or composite stringer, high-density slick - this is pro equipment designed to last 3 to 5 years in surf school (intensive use).
In fact, some mass-market brands themselves state that their boards are "not suitable for intensive use in surf schools". Zeus, yes.
Depends on the deck.
EVA deck (Dolce, Cabianca, Classic, Burger) → No need for wax, the grip is integrated. This is the choice of 90% of surfers in France.
Deck IXPE → Wax recommended. Smoother surface, epoxy-like feel. Ideal for hot countries as EVA can slightly irritate the skin when you surf in boardshorts. But in France - and especially here in Brittany - it's pretty rare to surf without a wetsuit.
Check your board specs or contact us if you have any doubts.
An entry-level board costs less to buy, but let's do the math. Basic construction, generic shapes, limited lifespan: you buy again in 12-18 months. Resale value? Virtually nil.
A Zeus at 350€ lasts 3 to 5 years. On resale, you'll easily get back 150-200€ - shops will take it back, the second-hand market is active. Real cost: ~50€/year versus ~100€/year for the entry-level model.
Our +200 partner surf schools have made this calculation. Once they've invested, they're in the clear. So are you.
Rigid boards (epoxy, polyester) and softboards use different technologies.
Rigid board: PU or EPS foam core covered with fiberglass and resin. Hard surface, lighter, very reactive. Requires advanced level to be used properly (level 3.1+). Shock-sensitive: the slightest impact can create a ding to be repaired.
Softboard: EPS core with soft coating (EVA or IXPE). More forgiving, more stable, absorbs shocks. Ideal for progressing from beginner to advanced intermediate level.
And the high-performance Zeus? Our Dolce and Cabianca ranges are designed to rival the sensations of a rigid board - responsiveness, glide, radicality - while retaining the advantages of softboard construction: durability, safety, zero maintenance.
Maintenance - 3 simple rules:
- Rinse with fresh water after each session (or wipe with a damp cloth if no water is available).
- Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially on the hull - it's your board's #1 enemy.
- Store in the shade, in a dry place, ideally on a vertical rack
Transport :
- By car: never leave your board in a trunk or on a roof in direct sunlight in very hot weather (+30°C).
- Use a cover to protect against bumps and scratches
- Straps on roof racks or bicycle racks: check that they are not too tight to avoid deformations
A well-maintained Zeus will last you for years.
